According to the AdisInsight database, the USA had the highest number of trials discontinued in 2024, with 255 trials, followed by Spain (94 trials), France (79 trials), and Germany (70 trials). The primary reason for these suspensions was strategic decisions made by companies or sponsors. These decisions included modifications to the clinical development plan, withdrawal of the drug from clinical development, and the time required by sponsors to evaluate the trial's first phase.
